Our Story
The Spark Hub was founded on a simple belief: every learner has strengths worth building on.
Our work is shaped by years inside classrooms, leadership offices, special education meetings, and board rooms. We’ve seen what works — and what doesn’t. Real change doesn’t come from adding more programs. It comes from listening better, designing smarter, and staying focused on what students actually need.
We are intentionally small, deeply relational, and committed to sustainability — for students, families, and educators alike.
OUR VALUES
- Every learner has strengths worth building on
- Relationships are the foundation of growth
- Systems should serve people, not the other way around
- Honesty builds trust; trust enables change
- Simple, clear communication matters
FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Jasmine Cox
Jasmine Cox is a nationally recognized education leader, systems strategist, and advocate with over a decade of experience spanning classrooms, school leadership, special education, district systems, and charter school development. She is the founder of The Spark Hub, a strengths-based education organization supporting schools, families, and students through system design, advocacy, and innovative learning models.
Before founding The Spark Hub, Jasmine served as a classroom teacher, MTSS coordinator, special education director, and school principal. She has opened and led charter schools from concept to launch and has partnered with superintendents, cabinet leaders, school boards, and families to translate vision into sustainable, student-centered systems.
Jasmine’s work is grounded in both instructional expertise and deep systems knowledge. She specializes in whole-child assessment strategy, MTSS-aligned intervention design, academic testing and interpretation, leadership coaching, and strengths-based learning models. Her approach blends data, professional judgment, and human-centered design to ensure that students are supported without being reduced to labels or scores.
In addition to her systems work with schools, Jasmine is a trusted advocate for families navigating special education, 504 planning, homeschooling, and alternative learning pathways. She is known for helping families make informed decisions with clarity, confidence, and dignity.
She is also the founder and executive director of The Spark Hub Collective, a hybrid microschool serving students in grades K–8 through a mastery-based, strengths-first model designed to reduce burnout and restore joy in learning.
